Development of Self-Instructional Guide for Installation of Solar Power System for Electrical Craftsmen in Nigeria

Abstract


The study developed a self-instructional guide for installation of solar power system for electrical craftsmen in Nigeria. The lack of good installation in solar power industries and lack of reliable and sustainable electricity in Nigeria has made solar power systems a viable option for providing power to households and businesses. However, the installation of solar power systems requires specialized knowledge and skills that are not readily available to electrical craftsmen in Nigeria. The development of a self-instructional guide provided solution to this challenge by equipping electrical craftsmen with the necessary knowledge and skills to install and maintain solar power systems. The guide was developed through a review of existing literature and consultations with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) in the field of solar power systems. The guide was designed to be user-friendly and included detailed step-by-step instructions, diagrams, and illustrations. The effectiveness of the self-instructional guide was evaluated through a field study involving electrical craftsmen in Nigeria. The results of the study provided insights into the usefulness of the guide and its potential impact on the adoption of solar power systems in Nigeria.
