Problems and Prospects of Achieving Environmental Sustainability in Nigeria

Abstract


This paper discusses the increasing threats to environmental sustainability, the intervention of the Sustainable Development Goals and Nigeria’s efforts in the global campaign to address the problems. Efforts made to address the challenges facing the country and the constraints militating against the attainment of the goals of the SDGs are also discussed. The prospects for meeting the SDG goal 7 are also enumerated. Recommendation and the way forward have been put across.
